A Call for Endurance

Rev 12:1-13:18                       A Call for Endurance
5/21/17            D. Marion Clark

Introduction

When the servant of the man of God rose early in the morning and went out, behold, an army with horses and chariots was all around the city. And the servant said, “Alas, my master! What shall we do?” 16 He said, “Do not be afraid, for those who are with us are more than those who are with them.” 17 Then Elisha prayed and said, “O Lord, please open his eyes that he may see.” So the Lord opened the eyes of the young man, and he saw, and behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha (2 Kings 6:15-17).

A Sign for You

Moses and the Passover          “A Sign for You”
4/13/17

“The blood shall be a sign for you.” That is what the Lord said to me. It was a fearful sign. With it, our firstborn were saved; without it, they would have died.

Happy Birthday Yvonne
Pastor Sam and Marion were out of the office last Tuesday when we had scheduled a staff lunch outing to celebrate Yvonne and Gale's birthdays. Well, you know what they say..... "when the cat's away the mice will play!" (Not really. Gale's birthday was in January if that tells you anything).
Susie Patterson snapped a photo as the employees at El Sitio insisted on singing to Yvonne and Gale as they served them Sopaipillas with smiley faces. It was a fun day!

The Worship of Heaven

Revelation 4:1-11                    The Worship of Heaven

Introduction

Can you identify where this quote is from?
There are more things in heaven and earth, Horatio,
Than are dreamt of in your philosophy.

Pastor Marion Clark is so excited about the NCAA basketball tournament that he could not resist sporting his University of South Carolina hat and basketball at the staff meeting this week. Both the men and the women Gamecocks are in their respective Sweet 16 tournaments. For the women, this is commonplace; the men have never reached such heights. (The singular advantage of having a mediocre history in sports is that small victories are great thrills.)
